Hi Tots,

The battery grip still functions fine. However, some of the leather material on the front of the grip has started to become unglued. A little bit superglue fixed that problem. Inversely, I popped my HLD-4 back onto my E-5 after a long time of not using it. It worked fine for a day, then immediate battery read errors again.

Hi Ian, is the battery grip still functioning well after all these years? I would like to purchase one. I'm a little apprehensive since I had an issue with my ownuser battery grip for my e-410. I couldn't trigger the shutter using shutter release button on the battery grip. So I decided to cut the wires since it was useless. I still use the battery grip on my e-410 since I want more battery power. I don't have issues like batteries draining when they are left inside the grip. I hope you can help. Thanks

Thank you for your kind words, Robin. Ever since my E-3 was stolen I've been a little uneasy about bringing my equipment out into the public, but I love street photography and capturing situations like these. I had to bring my camera with me.

Ian, these are very inspiring set of photographs you captured from the protest. You recorded the emotions and intensity of the whole event very vividly, and your choice of B&W presentation created a very "real" and natural impression of the event. I felt as if I was in the middle of the whole thing.
You can make a great photo-journalist !! Not kidding here.
